Micron Foundation: Chip Camp

The Micron Foundation hosts Chip Camp annually for seventh and eighth graders introducing them to fun, hands-on science and engineering activities. Chip Camp was created to make science and technology a stimulating experience and expose students to the semiconductor industry, ideally influencing student course selection during high school to include challenging math and science course work.

The Chip Camp program is largely run by Micron team members who volunteer their time facilitating the sessions. Since its inception, more than 1,000 students have participated in the three-day camp sessions and many of them have gone on to study engineering in college.
